Does anyone really know what all the fuss is over this fiscal cliff nonsense?

Most people think it is about taxes, spending, and dumb government ideas that on the surface and deeper if you look, are designed to exploit our perceived stupidity.

In case you didn’t realize it, there are some in our nation’s government who really do think you and I are stupid. However, you and I know that is not the case.

The Comparison

I decided to do my own comparison between the fiscal cliff and the The Morning Coffee Cup. It really is amazing how much they mirror each other yet they are not the same at all which is a good thing.

Here is what I have determined.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – More Tax Increases – As if we don’t already have enough.

The Morning Coffee Cup – Drink more coffee – That was an easy one.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – You and I are the ones who will suffer the most.

The Morning Coffee Cup – Drinking coffee makes you happy.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – Light on spending cuts.

The Morning Coffee Cup – Drink more decaf.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – Not enough taxes for the rich to pay.

The Morning Coffee Cup – Have a rich and smooth latte.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – We just don’t have the votes for it.

The Morning Coffee Cup– We don’t need your vote, we just want a cup of coffee.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – Under the Senate plan, income above $450,000 per household or $400,000 per individual would be taxed at 39.6 percent, up from 35 percent. (Sorry this one was a bit long)

The Morning Coffee Cup – Do you make that kind of money? Who cares? Have a cup of extra bold.

    1. Fiscal Cliff – Neither party can come together on what is right for us.

The Morning Coffee Cup – We do, have another cup of coffee and let ‘em jump.
