How to make iced coffee is not rocket science. In fact, if you can brew a great cup of coffee, then you can make iced coffee. You may have read where some say to make great iced coffee you have to use cold water then let it stand overnight. I say, why? You can actually make great iced coffee at home with your Keurig and I’m sure you will love the results.
How to Make Iced Coffee
I don’t drink a lot of iced coffee but if you want to make it at home with your Keurig, you can. Most recipes will tell you to use cold water, pour over your ground coffee and let it stand overnight. But who has time for all that nonsense?
Since you enjoy coffee, and particularly iced coffee, here’s how you can make it at home. And yes, with your Keurig. Simple, fast and delicious iced coffee.
First. Choose your favorite K-Cup coffee then brew it in your Keurig coffee maker as you normally do.
Second. Set your freshly brewed coffee aside to let it cool. As it becomes a bit cooler, you can then put it in your freezer. What? Put my coffee in the freezer? Yep. This will start the chilling process so that it will not melt the ice cubes your are getting ready to pour it over.
Third. While your coffee is “chillin” fill a drinking jar with ice cubes. (I prefer using a jar because the glass is thicker and it looks cool too)
Fourth. Now that your coffee has chilled in the freezer, take it out and pour it slowly over your jar of ice. Be sure to leave enough room in the jar to add some milk, your favorite creamer (use your favorite flavor) and a topping if you prefer.
Fifth. Slowly pour in the milk, stopping just before it gets to the bottom of the jar. Now add enough creamer to your taste. (creamer is optional of course)
Sixth. If you enjoy whipped cream as a topping, put it on. Cinnamon sprinkled on top? Go for it. This is your iced coffee you are making.
Seventh. Drink and enjoy.
Like I said, to make iced coffee you don’t have to be a rocket scientist. You just have to know how to brew a cup of coffee in your Keurig. This is a fast, simple and delicious way to enjoy iced coffee at home. This is just one of many different types of coffee that you can make at home.
Are there other iced coffee recipes that you could use at home? Absolutely. In fact, I highly recommend you get this book and try all the different recipes if you enjoy coffee. You will be glad you did.
