How to Pick the Best Coffee Maker for Your Home

The Coffee Maker

As a coffee drinker, the coffee maker is one of the most important things you can have in your home. It’s the one thing I use everyday. Without my coffee makers, I would be starting my day on the wrong foot. That’s why I want to help you know how to pick the best coffee maker for you.

All coffee makers will, make coffee. Some do it better than others, some faster, some slower, some pots full at a time while other are a single cup at a time. With all the different models and makes, how do you choose?

These are my suggestions…

How to Pick the Best Coffee Maker

To know how to pick the best coffee maker for you and your household, you have to first understand your coffee drinking habits. Are you a chain drinker? One cup after another all day long? Or do you enjoy one cup in the mornings and maybe another later in the day?

There are two basic types of coffee makers to fit the bill. The multi-cup coffee maker and the single serve. For the chain drinker, go multi-cup every time. While on the other hand, the single serve coffee maker will be the better choice.

With this in mind, let’s get a bit deeper into how to pick the best coffee maker. One that you will enjoy using every day.

The Multi-Pot

1. Do you need an automatic? One that you can set to come on and brew your coffee at the same time every morning?

2. Is the manual a better choice? With these you have to make the coffee and remember to take it off the burner.

I would highly suggest you go with the automatic coffee maker. Set it up, and let it work for you. You can find them with tons of features like pot warmer, water filters, clocks…the list is long.

The Single Serve

1. Do you want single K-cup style or multi-pod type?

2. Loaded with features or just the basics?

For my coffee drinking habits, I choose the simplest models. I simply make a cup, when I want one. No extra setting other than choose auto off, and size of cup.

What it all boils down to is you. Your coffee drinking habits are the ultimate determining factor. So how to pick the best coffee maker it a personal choice first. Once you determine the type you want, then read reviews. Ask questions in groups and learn about the type you are considering.

There is no right way or wrong way when it comes to your choice. Like lots of people I have talked to about their coffee makers, just choose the type and one that looks cool and buy it.

It’s not rocket science. You don’t need a blueprint, an architectural drawing, or a 500 page guide on coffee maker selecting. Just find one you like and make it yours.

 One last thought.

If you want a high end coffee maker without the high price, refurbished may be the way to go. Take a look at the Jura refurbish event.
