Coffee With A Friend Should Be Enjoyed Not Rushed

coffee-with-a-friendWhen was the last time you had a cup of coffee with a friend? Too many of us get up in the mornings, fix a cup of coffee in our Keurig or some other brand of single serve then rush off to meet the day. You might grab another cup later in the morning only to jump into another project without much thought.

If that is the only time you drink your coffee, then you are missing out on such an opportunity to truly enjoy a cup of coffee and a friendship.

Coffee With A Friend

Life is so full of wonderful people, friends, family and the little ole man walking his dog in the park. There are stories behind the face of everyone you meet. And what better way to share those stories than having a coffee with a friend?

Rather than wait till the next time you have a moment, I want you to take a moment now and call up a friend. Invite them over for a cup of coffee. But here is what I want you to do.

Put your Keurig away. Put it in the cabinet and push it to the back. Make your coffee with your friend special. Get your fresh whole beans out, grind up enough for a few cups then when your friend arrives, brew it using a slow brew method.

Don’t worry if you don’t know what that is of if you don’t have the right slow brew equipment.

You can read how I made my first slow brewed coffee here.

After you slow brew a couple cups of coffee, sit back and talk about life. Put your cell phone away. Better yet, turn it off. Connect with the person sitting across from you and share a story.

If you find this difficult, talk about how good the coffee is that you are drinking. Talk about the kids or grandkids. Talk about life. It’s just too short to let it rush by without ever tasting the coffee and sharing the things that really matter.

To friends sharing time together and a good cup of coffee.
