Coffee habits. All coffee drinkers have them. As a coffee drinker I have some and I’m sure you do too. But do our coffee habits really mean anything? All the coffee talk about it’s bad for you but on the other side it’s a super drink. A cure all.
Well, maybe not all, but I have read where it can prevent you from dying. I think that article left out a couple of the finer points. After all, we are all going to die one day. But until then, I say, don’t worry about your coffee habits.
Don't worry about coffee habits
Okay, we all have them, you, me and all the millions of coffee lovers around the world. Coffee habits.
Before I tell you why I don’t think they mean anything and why you shouldn’t worry about them, let me say this.
This is just my opinion. It’s not based on any medical facts that you probably don’t care about anyway. You just love your coffee; as you should.
Your coffee habits are your’s. One cup, two, a whole pot, it matters not as long as you enjoy it.
Now here’s what I have heard about drinking coffee.
- It’s good for your heart. That sounds good to me.
- You can reduce stress by drinking coffee. I’ll go along.
- Drinking coffee keeps you alert. Whatever.
The not so good.
- I’m still thinking about this one.
- I give up on the not so good.
I have never read anyone’s obituary or heard any eulogy that said, “Poor old Johnny, he died from bad coffee habits. He was a good fellow but he just drank too much coffee. I can still see him with his coffee cup in his hand.”
Good or bad, and there are studies to back both sides, your coffee habits don’t really matter to anyone but you. So don’t worry about them.
If you do find yourself in a bad way and you feel that coffee is the reason. Then stop drinking it. Otherwise, pour yourself another cup and remember. You drink coffee because you enjoy it. Nobody drinks it for their health. At least nobody I know.
